With pandemic restrictions lightening, we are all happy to welcome the return of sports. One individual especially excited is our founder Karen Nichol, because it means that she can get back to doing what she loves most... working with teams!
Karen has been the physiotherapist for the Sr A Coquitlam Adanacs since 2005, and was thrilled to be reunited with her team and the sport of lacrosse after two long years off, and what a season it turned out to be! The Adanacs had not made it into the WLA play-offs since 2013, but after lots of hard work and determination, they ended up in second place overall this year. Unfortunately the first round did not go as hoped, with the team losing four straight games to the very fast and talented Nanaimo Timbermen, but every game was exciting until the very last second.
Karen says that getting back in the rink with such a fun group of players and coaches made her year and she looks forward to the NLL season ahead. Karen is also the local physiotherapist for the Calgary Roughnecks players and is excited to see what the winter season brings!
Karen Nichol, founder of Royal City Physio, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.
